Zan Lano

Vice President

Zan started at LPA in February 2014 on the sales team. In 2017 he moved over to project management, serving as LPA's sole Project Manager until 2022. Zan and Mike purchased LPA in December of 2022 and now he does all manner of things. His first real assignment came about a month into his tenure in: call an upset customer and listen. Of course it's not our goal to have upset customers, but that was a great experience utilizing a foundational skill necessary in this business, or any business: how to listen intently. It's a skill that we endeavor to instill in everyone who works at LPA. How can we support anyone if we don't understand their goals and problems? We strive to learn as much about our customers as they learn about our solutions.

Mike Nelson

President

Mike started at LPA Retail Systems as a Sr. Network Engineer in 2015 and quickly worked his way up to become the Services Manager in 2018. Mike showed drive, technical talent, and skills as a leader which earned him the opportunity to purchase LPA in December of 2022 along with Zan Lano. Mike has surrounded himself with a talented team who are committed to exceptional customer service in order to build upon LPA Retail System’s past success. As President and co-owner of LPA, he strives to find new ways to enable our customers to grow in their unique retail spaces. Mike would say, “We worry about the technology in the retail space so you can focus on your core business.” Mike is always focused on providing exceptional customer service to our customers, keeping LPA Retail Systems a rewarding place to work for our employees, while managing the day to day tasks of running a tech company. On most weekends, you can find Mike with his family and friends at a lake house in Wisconsin.

Tyler Wilcox

Service Manager

Tyler joined LPA in 2024 as Service Manager. He came from a background in call center operations leadership with Best Buy. He has a degree from the Carlson School of Management in entrepreneurial management and brings proven change management, process optimization, customer service, and leadership to the LPA technical team. Tyler wants to help lead the technical team forward toward better and more efficient service while offering his small business management skills to help across the organization. Outside of the office Tyler enjoys playing video games, watching the Minnesota Timberwolves, and hanging out with his girlfriend and cat.

Liz L’Heureux

Human Resources & Admin


Liz unexpectedly started her career at LPA Retail Systems in 1997, while taking a break from teaching middle school science to raise three young children. At the request of LPA Retail’s founder, Tim Lano, (who also happened to be her brother) she agreed to work part-time and remotely to take over payroll and so began a new career, completely outside of her education (BA in Biology/BS in Education). Her duties include payroll, employee benefits, hiring, service invoicing, receivables, and special projects. Liz has enjoyed being a long-term part of LPA Retail and contributing to the company’s success and growth over the years. When not at work, Liz and her husband enjoy spending time with family, including two daughters and a son, and friends at their cabin in Wisconsin, pickleball, gardening, travel and their new rescue puppy Alfie!

Angie Richter

Staff Accountant & Office Manager


Angie has been at LPA since 2016.  Angie’s job title is Staff Accountant and Office Manager. She has an Associate’s Degree in Finance. Angie’s responsibilities include monthly fixed fee invoicing, quote invoicing, customer deposits, processing vendor invoices, vendor payments, monthly reporting and making sure that supplies for the office are always on hand for the employees.  Angie’s loves coming to work because every day is different and she loves working with her co-workers. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and her two beloved cats.  She enjoys walking, reading and watch true crime stories.

Jaci Petsch

Account Executive

Jaci has been working with LPA Retail Systems since 2020. She completed her degree in Digital Marketing and soon after changed her role at LPA from marketing to account executive. Jaci has a curious technical mind, a drive to build long term client relationships, and is passionate about excellent customer satisfaction. Jaci wants to make a difference in someone’s business and watch it grow and she has proven herself to be a solutions builder. When Jaci is not in the office, she is spending time training with and competing with her two dogs.

Frank Schrock

Solutions Coordinator

  • Frank Schrock joined LPA Retail Systems' sales team in 2024 as a Solutions Coordinator. In the office, Frank keeps himself busy prospecting for new and interesting retailers to develop a relationship with. Researching businesses, developing sales messaging, and making first contact with potential partners are all part of his day-to-day activities. When asked about what he looks forward to each day, Frank said, "I absolutely love when I discover a unique business in my research and have the opportunity to speak with the owner who turned their dream into a reality." Frank studied public relations and communications at UW-Eau Claire, and has held certificates for SEO strategy, Amazon Ad Analytics, and was a Certified Pool Operator in a past life. When out of the office, Frank enjoys skiing, sailing, and slam poetry.

Service and Project Team

Dave Hagen

Master Developer


Dave has been a member of the support team since 2000 and has a Batchelor’s degree in Computer Science and Accounting. He excels in the role of Senior Software Developer and Master Counterpoint Technician which includes the role mentoring his peers. Dave was one of the first techs certified in Counterpoint in the nation. Most of his time is spent developing new Counterpoint enhancements, writing custom reports to meet our diverse customer needs, importing data from other systems into Counterpoint, and assisting our customers with accounting audits. Dave has a passion for data conversions from other systems. He would say, “Converting data is always a puzzle, and I love it.” In his spare time, Dave is an avid tennis player who also enjoys fishing, walking, and traveling.

Tom Downs

Developer & Training Lead

Tom is a vital member of LPA's support team as one of our Senior Developers and Lead Trainers, leveraging his expertise since 2005. Tom's week is balanced between developing enhancements for Counterpoint, training our clients to get the most out of the system, and providing excellent break/fix support. He finds fulfillment in LPA's frequent direct customer interaction and values our genuine team focused environment. With degrees in Engineering from the University of Colorado and Masters of Education from the University of Minnesota, Tom's skills are well used at LPA. Outside of work, he coaches high school robotics teams, plays bass on his church music team, and can be found on long family bike rides. At LPA, Tom thrives in a collaborative setting focused on delivering practical solution to help our customers grow their retail businesses.

Jerret Wright

Technical Project Lead


Jerret is currently the Technical Project Lead at LPA Retail Systems. Expanding on experiences in the military as well as retail, he began his career at LPA in 2015 as a Tier I Tech. Jerret has held a few other roles with LPA, including Tier II Tech, Managed Services Lead and Service Manager. He enjoys taking on new challenges, while also maintaining the attitude that “every day is a school day.” In his off time, Jerret enjoys spending time with family, going for rides on his Harley, smoking delicious meats and working on his classic cars.

Noute Lor

Application & Hardware Specialist

Noute Lor has been a Software and Hardware specialist at LPA Retail Systems since 2018. He primarily helps customers with support calls and new counterpoint installations. Noute has become an expert at all things hardware when they can be connected to a Point of Sale system. Noute strives to deliver solutions to his customer’s Point of Sale and other technology related problems. He has spent the last decade providing direct IT support to small businesses and nationwide corporations. Noute cannot remember a time he did not have Fish as pets in both Fresh and Salt water aquariums.

Kimberly Peddycoart

Project & Inventory Manager

Kim began working for LPA as the Service Department Assistant in 2021. Due to her high attention to detail and ability to keep things moving forward, she was promoted to Project Manager about a year later. As Project Manager, Kim coordinates the implementation of Counterpoint for new customers while keeping customer deadline and budget goals a top priority. Kim previously worked many years in retail including positions in management, loss prevention, and customer service. Kim enjoys using her 15 years of retail experience to help our customers reach their business goals.

Chantelle Silivan

Procurement & Logistics Specialist

Chantelle started her career at LPA as a sales assistant in the beginning of 2022, while finishing her last semester at Metropolitan State University. Few months later, she joined the tech team as the Service Dispatcher and Inventory Clerk. In 2024, Chantelle was promoted to Procurement and Logistics Specialist. Chantelle is often described as the “glue” that holds the tech team together. She manages and dispatches most service tickets for the tech team. Additionally, Chantelle is the main point of contact for purchasing, vendor management, warranty repairs, rentals, shipping, and receiving. She looks forward to working with LPA as every day is something new and she appreciates the exceptional teamwork from her colleagues. When Chantelle is not at the office, she enjoys attending EDM concerts and festivals, exploring new restaurants, and capturing fashion and portrait photography.

Samuel Fang

Customer Care & Counterpoint Specialist

Samuel joined LPA Retail Systems in 2023 as Customer Care and Counterpoint Specialist. He spends most of his time assisting customers with their Counterpoint-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting. It is important to Samuel that he delivers a seamless customer experience. You might hear him say, “I find joy in resolving challenges and enhancing customer satisfaction daily.” Samuel earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and had prior experience in customer service and technical support before he joined LPA. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with friends, plays ping pong, and has a few good magic tricks up his sleeve.

Richard Hart

Application Specialist & Systems Administrator

Richard has been at LPA since 2023 and is our Systems Administrator and Senior Application Specialist. Richard has over 20 years in the IT space and brings a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of technology. He is truly a jack of all trades when it comes to anything to do with computers and networking. When he’s not at work, Richard enjoys being outdoors on a hike (depending on the weather), playing video games on the couch, and traveling. Richard has visited many countries around the world with more on the list.
